【摘要】:Analyticalmethodsforthemeasurementofcarbonmonoxide,carbondioxide,oxygen,nitrogenoxides,sulfuroxides,carbonylsulfide,hydrogenhalides,hydrogencyanide,aldehydes,andhydrocarbonsaredescribed,alongwithsamplingconsiderations.Manyofthesegasesmaybepresentinanyfireenvironment.Severalanalyticaltechniquesaredescribedforeachgaseousspecies,togetherwithadvantagesanddisadvantagesofeach.Thetestenvironment,samplingconstraints,analyticalrange,andaccuracyoftendictateuseofoneanalyticalmethodoveranother.Thesetechniqueshavebeenusedtomeasuregasesunderfiretestconditions(laboratory,smallscale,orfullscale).Withpropersamplingconsiderations,anyofthesemethodscouldbeusedformeasurementinmostfireenvironments.Thisdocumentisintendedtobeaguideforinvestigatorsandforsubcommitteeuseindevelopingstandardtestmethods.Asingleanalyticaltechniquehasnotbeenrecommendedforanychemicalspeciesunlessthattechniqueistheonlyoneavailable.Thetechniquesdescribedhereindeterminetheconcentrationofaspecificgasinthetotalsampletaken.Thesetechniquesdonotdeterminethetotalamountoffiregasesthatwouldbegeneratedbyaspecimenduringconductofafiretest.Thisstandardisusedtomeasureanddescribetheresponseofmaterials,products,orassemblestoheatandflameundercontrolledconditionsbutdoesnotbyitselfincorporateallfactorsrequiredforfirehazardorfireriskassessmentofthematerials,products,orassembliesunderactualfireconditionsThisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
