【摘要】:Thistestguideprovidesameanstoquantifytheabrasionresistanceofmaterialsurfaces,andmayberelatedtoend-useperformance,orusedtocomparativelyrankmaterialperformance,orboth.Theresistanceofmaterialsurfacestoabrasion,asmeasuredonatestingmachineinthelaboratory,isgenerallyonlyoneofseveralfactorscontributingtowearperformanceasexperiencedintheactualuseofthematerial.Otherfactorsmayneedtobeconsideredinanycalculationofpredictedlifefromspecificabrasiondata.Theresistanceofmaterialsurfacestoabrasionmaybeaffectedbyfactorsincludingtestconditions;typeofabradant;pressurebetweenthespecimenandabradant;mountingortensionofthespecimen;andtype,kind,oramountoffinishingmaterials.Abrasiontestsutilizingtherotaryplatform,doubleheadabrasermaybesubjecttovariationduetochangesintheabradantduringthecourseofspecifictests.Dependingonabradanttypeandtestspecimen,theabradingwheelsurfacemaychange(i.e.becomeclogged)duetothepick-upoffinishingorothermaterialsfromtestspecimens.Toreducethisvariation,theabradingwheelsshouldberesurfacedatregularlydefinedintervals.SeeAppendixX2.Themeasurementoftherelativeamountofabrasionmaybeaffectedbythemethodofevaluationandinfluencedbythejudgmentoftheoperator.1.1Thisguidecoversandisintendedtoassistinestablishingproceduresforconductingweartestsofrigidorflexiblematerialsutilizingtherotaryplatform,double-headabraser(RPDH).1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.1.2.1Exception8212;Englishunitsareusedwhendeterminingcoatingthickness.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
