【摘要】:Theenergyinputratetestisusedtoconfirmthattherangeundertestisoperatingatthemanufacturer''sratedinput.Thistestwouldalsoindicateanyproblemswiththeelectricpowersupplyorgasservicepressure.Theheattransfercharacteristicsofacookingunitcanbesimulatedbymeasuringthetemperatureuniformityofasteelplate.Idleenergyrateandpilotenergyconsumptioncanbeusedbyfoodserviceoperatorstoestimateenergyconsumptionduringnon-cookingperiods.Thecookingenergyefficiencyisadirectmeasurementofrangeefficiencyatthefull-energyinputrate.Thisdatacanbeusedbyfoodserviceoperatorsintheselectionofranges,aswellasforthemanagementofarestaurant''senergydemands.Note18212;ThePGx0026;EFoodServiceTechnologyCenterhasdeterminedthatthecookingenergyefficiencydoesnotsignificantlychangefordifferentinputrates.Ifpreciseefficiencycalculationsaredesiredatlowerinputrates,thefull-inputratetestprocedureisvalidforallinputrates(thatis,lessthanfull-input).Productionrateandproductioncapacitycanbeusedtoestimatetheamountoftimerequiredforfoodpreparationandasameasureofrangecapacity.Thishelpsthefoodserviceoperatormatcharangetoparticularfoodoutputrequirements.1.1Thesetestmethodscovertheenergyconsumptionandcookingperformanceofrangetops.Thefoodserviceoperatorcanusethisevaluationtoselectarangetopandunderstanditsenergyconsumption.1.2Thesetestmethodsareapplicabletogasandelectricrangetopsincludingbothdiscreetburnersandelementsandhottops.1.3Therangetopcanbeevaluatedwithrespecttothefollowing(whereapplicable):1.3.1Energyinputrate(see10.2),and1.3.2Pilotenergyconsumption(see10.3).1.3.3Heat-uptemperatureresponseandtemperatureuniformityatminimumandmaximumcontrolsettings(see10.4),and1.3.4Cookingenergyefficiencyandproductioncapacity(see10.5).1.4Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.ThevaluesgiveninparenthesesaremathematicalconversionstoSIunitsthatareprovidedforinformationonlyandarenotconsideredstandard.1.5Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
