MIL-T-8973 (NOTICE 4), MILITARY SPECIFICATION: TUBING, STEEL, CORROSION AND HEAT RESISTANT, FOR AEROSPACE VEHICLE HYDRAULIC SYSTEMS ASSEMBLED BY BRAZING (30 OCT 2003) [S/S BY SAE-AMS5897]., MIL-T-8973, dated 12 December 1969, is hereby canceled. Future acquisitions may refer to SAE-AMS-5897, "Steel Corrosion and Heat Resistant, Seamless or Welded Hydraulic Tubing, 18.5Cr - 10.5Ni 0.80Cb (SAE 30347) Solution Heat Treated and Cold Drawn, 1.8 Hard Temper", but users are cautioned to evaluate this document for their particular application before using it as a replacement document.
